My Blog

I decided to blog because I like to talk a lot and Im sure those that know me would like for me to find other ways to express myself, which doesnt include them having to listen all the time since they already know about everything that goes on in my life. I have had a very "interesting" life. I grew up in a very conservative Baptist home so I knew nothing about real life until I married my first husband who was the complete opposite of anybody I ever knew. I married at 19, had a baby by 20 and then another baby by 25 and divorced by 26 - remarried again at 31. I then had a child, who at 10 months we found out he had a brain tumor and went through the next five years holding my breath until we were sure he was going to be ok. We started a business and bought a farm to raise Brangus Cattle, well my husband did, I can think of better ways to spend my day than looking at cows for hours and hours. About this time, my father was diagnosed with kidney failure, so we spent the next 8 years or so getting him to dialysis 3 days a week and to the many doctors appointments and emergency room visits. He died in 2001 and shortley after that my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers. She was in the early stages, but far enough along that we could tell. It was the most awful thing I have ever been through (other than finding out my child had a brain tumor) including being married to my first husband who was a drug addict that ended up selling my childs car seat to his drug dealor for a debt he owed him. I am the middle of 5 sisters and two brothers and we were all very close to our mother so Im sure some of my posts will be devoted to my mother and the things we went through with her. We dont like to talk about it to each other because we are all still trying to deal with it, maybe even forget about it, so Im sure it will be theraputic for me to blog about some of my experiences.

I normally try to see the humorous side of life, but I just wanted to spend my first blog telling my history. Please check back for future posts, I will get better at this.
